The Dalles-Hood River

46.5 miles, 3760' elevation gain

Traveling along the Historic Columbia River Highway is a safe and scenic route between The Dalles and Hood River. In spots, the route has spectacular exposures to the Columbia River Gorge, and it’s famous winds; in other areas it is sheltered from the winds by trees and basalt cliffs.
